NIC ASIA Laghubitta inks merger agreement with Swadeshi Laghubitta; revamped entity to emerge as largest microfinance institution with 200 plus branches and more than 2 arba paid up value

NIC ASIA Laghubitta has signed a merger agreement with Swadeshi Laghubitta on Shrawan 32, 2077.

The merger agreement was signed between chairman of NIC Laghubitta Mr. Kapil Dhakal and chairman of Swadeshi Laghubitta Mr. Lalmani Joisi amid a program.

NIC ASIA Laghubitta currently has 120 branches under its network at different rural hilly and mountainous districts whereas Swadeshi Laghubitta has 85 branches; combining which the branch count will scale up to 205 post merger, as per the media statement.

The merger is expected to end at the soonest and the company is expecting to begin the joint transaction in the name of NIC ASIA Laghubitta with the largest paid up capital and branch network among microfinances in Nepal by the beginning of Poush, 2077, as per the media statement.
