NIC Asia Bank's Savings Scheme: Providing Security Through Insurance Benefits

NIC Asia Bank Limited (NICA) has introduced the best savings account scheme with attractive benefits, aligning with its slogan of "Bank Pani Sathi Pani, Ramro Pani Hamro Pani." During the period from 18 Ashadh to 14 Falgun 2080, the bank insured seven individuals for fatal diseases and five for accidents under this scheme.

A total of 12 account holders, including Rachana Gauchan, Chakra Bahadur Katuwal, Parbati Shrestha, Punya Prasad Dhakal, Bijay Kumar Gurung, Elina Neupane, and Nirmala Chapagai, received Rs. 10 lakhs each from IGI Prudential Insurance Company.

Additionally, Radheshyam Rajak Safi, Tej Bahadur Subedi, Ganesh Bahadur Gurung, Kumari Rita Bhusal, and Kanhaiya Lal Chaudhari received insurance payouts ranging from Rs. 10 lakhs each to Rs. 50 lakhs from Nepal Insurance Company.

Furthermore, over 6,361 depositors benefited from insurance claims totaling more than Rs. 14 crore 38 lakh under various schemes offered by the bank.

NIC Asia Bank, with 360 branch offices, 670 ATMs, 116 extension counters, and 51 branchless branch networks across Nepal, serves approximately 25% of the economically active population aged 20 to 50.

The bank has contributed significantly to the government revenue, paying over Rs. 23 Arba 7 crore since its inception. It focuses on financial inclusion by expanding its presence to remote districts and areas lacking banking services, with 72% of its branches located in rural and small urban areas.
