NIC ASIA Bank initiates QR code-based payment at  Bhanuchowk Agro Markets in Dharan; shoppers in 100 plus fruit and vegetable stores can make digital payment for their purchases

NIC ASIA Bank has initiated QR code-based payment system at Dharan Agro Markets located at Bhanuchowk where shoppers can now simply scan the QR code of the bank using their MoBanking service to pay for their purchases of agro products.

After the new arrangement, more than 100 fruit and vegetable stores in the agro markets have started accepting QR code-based payment for their products right to their bank accounts via MoBanking and digital wallet services, as per the media statement.

Director of Nepal Rastra Bank Province I Mr. Satendra Timalsina, Deputy provincial Performance Assurance  Ecosystem for Province I and II of the Bank Mr. Prakash Chandra Adhikari, Mayor of Dharan Mr. Tilak Rai, head of Dharan Markets Association Mr. Ram Kumar Das have jointly kickstarted the new service at the agro market amid a program, as per the media statement.

The bank currently serves its customers via its 352 branches, 471 ATM outlets, 80 branchless banking units, and 75 extension counters in its network.
