NIC Asia Bank Dispel Rumors: No Plans to Close Branch Offices

NIC Asia Bank Limited (NICA), known for its commitment to responsible banking, has refuted false claims circulating in the media regarding the closure of its branch offices. With a legacy of 26 years, the bank has played a pivotal role in sustaining the national economy.

As the commercial bank with the most extensive branch network, it currently serves over 41 lakh customers through 360 branches, 670 ATMs, 115 extension counters, and 51 branchless banking networks across Nepal.

The bank dismisses rumors suggesting the closure of 50 branches, clarifying that there is no such strategy or plan in place. The bank emphasizes its dedication to financial inclusion by expanding into remote districts and areas with limited access to banking services.

Approximately 25% of the economically active population in the age group of 20 to 50 years is served by NIC Asia Bank, with 72% of its branches strategically located in rural and small urban areas, addressing the needs of over 80% of the country's total population.
