NIBL and Esewa inks agreement; customers of the bank can easily load fund to digital wallet to make payment to more than 55K merchants now

Nepal Investment Bank and Esewa Phone Pay have inked an agreement under which customers of the bank can load fund in Esewa and engage in digital payment through the internet banking platform and via any branches of the bank.
Esewa recently has been promoting QR code based payment system and more than 55K merchants are associated with the digital wallet. Esewa is providing range of cash backs and discount offers while making QR based payments via the mobile wallet.
55 different banks and financial institutions are currently the members of the Esewa through which customers can send and receive funds to and from these accounts. It currently serves more than 25 lakh customers and more than 60K Esewa agents are working across the nation to deliver quality services.
NIBL currently has 85 branches, 120 ATM terminals, 15 extension counters, 10 revenue collection counters and 54 BLB units.
