New model of SYM bike hits Nepali roads

KATHMANDU, Jan 20: A new model of SYM bike has hit the Nepali roads.

Shrestha Company launched Wolf Sb150Ni - a 150cc bike from the Taiwanese two-wheeler maker - amid a function on Sunday. The bike has been priced at Rs 299,900.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Dinesh Shrestha, managing director of Shrestha Company, said the new bike will give riders the experience of Wolf SB250Ni which was launched about eight months ago.

Shrestha said youths of medium class are the targeted buyers of the new bike.

“Though the price of the bike is comparatively higher in its segment, it comes with advanced technology and effective after sales services,” added said.
The company is targeting to sell 1,200 units within a year of launch.

“The new Wolf SB150Ni has already been tested in Nepali topography. It perfectly suits the Nepali road conditions,” added Shrestha.

The Euro III standard Wolf SB150Ni has five-speed manual transmission and offers both self and electric start. The bike uses ceramic coated engine that ensures longer engine life. The bike with 216mm ground clearance can reach top speed of up to 95 km per hour. It has front disc and rear drum brakes as well as tubeless tires for better braking system and smooth riding. The company also claimed that the stylish headlamp offers clear vision at night. The bike can hold 15 liters of fuel and weighs just 150 kg. It is available in three colors -- black, blue and yellow.

Shrestha Company is offering two-year warranty on engine. It has also tied up with financial institutions to arrange easy financing facility.

The bike is currently available at the company´s main dealer at Teku and sub-dealers at Pokhara, Narayanghat and Birtamod.
