Net Premium rises by 46.60% for National Life Insurance in Q1; Annualized EPS at Rs. 15.36

National Life Insurance Company Limited (NLICL) has published its first-quarter report of the fiscal year 2077/2078 with an increase in Net Profit by a meager 2.58% compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The company’s net earnings increased to Rs. 11.83 crores in this quarter from Rs. 11.53 crores in the corresponding quarter.
As per the unaudited report for the first quarter published today, National Life has a paid-up capital of Rs. 3.08 Arba with a reserve of Rs. 1.14 Arba.
The company has Rs. 35.94 Arba in life insurance fund and Rs. 29.07 crores in the contingent fund.
The Net Premium rose by 46.60% to Rs. 2.80 Arba in FY 2077/2078 from Rs. 1.91 Arba in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The company has earned Rs. 69.88 crores from income from investment, loans, and other headings.
The company’s Net claim increased by 38.59% to Rs. 84.69 crores in this quarter. The company’s number of policies stood at 882,726 till Q1 of 2077/2078.
Its annualized earnings per share (EPS) stood at Rs. 15.36 whereas Net worth per share stood at Rs. 146.50. the company traded at a P/B multiple of 5.11 times.
