NEPSE ZIGZAGS ITS UP WAY

In spite of selling pressure, the secondary market yet again made to the green zone. The market index today added further 1.97 points to its tally to close at 802.96 level.
Though back to back surge of Nepse promoted profit booking in the initial period, the overwhelming bull sentiment in the market helped overcome the selling pressure and recoup back to green terrain. The market tried four attempts to hover below yesterday’s closing; however, at the end of the day, the local bourse prevailed to settle above prior day’s level.
Among the movement of sub-indices, Hydro still managed to maintain healthy growth as it added 28.41 points. Similarly, banking and financial institutions related sub-indices also succeeded to settle on green zone as Banking inclined by 1.28 points, Development soar by 5.2 points and Finance increased by 0.83 point.
Likewise, Others also propelled by 1.17 points. While, Insurance today made correction of 10.03 points along side it, Hotels also dropped 6.73 points. As for Manufacturing , it remained intact at 930.38 level.
Altogether there were trade of 133 scrips, among which 73 scrips gained, 16 scrips remained intact and 44 scrips suffered loss.
The best performer among the traded shares was Swarojgar Laghu Bitta Bikas Bank Ltd. (SLBBL), closed Rs 1238, with a gain of Rs 112 or 9.95 percent. Whereas, Taragaon Regency Hotel (TRH), closed at Rs 260, was the worst performer with loss of Rs 20 or 7.14 percent.
Chilime Hydro power Co. (CHCL), which closed at Rs 1900, had the highest turnover among the traded scrips today. Overall, 48,087 units of CHCL were traded through 259 transactions worth Rs 90,874,938.
The Broker with the highest transaction of CHCL was Broker No 3 (Arun Securities Pvt. Limited) with 6.41 percent standalone dealing, totaling 6,200 units worth Rs 11,657,950 via 4 selling transactions.
The market turnover today stood at Rs 414,986,226, with total number of shares traded at 736,544 units which were traded through 2,823 transactions. The market capitalization at the end of the day stood at Rs 818,461.67 Millions.
