Nepse Wrap up (Review period 7th July to 11th July, 2013)

With the dilution of the ending pressure in the secondary market and the expectation of handsome return from this fiscal year profit of the companies, the market drove into bullish sentiment this week.
As the liquidation pressure from the investors to meet their debt obligation has come to ease off, the smart investors are now in row to acquire the blue chip companies at the current low levels.
Since, the previous quarterly reports indicate that the companies related to Banking, Hydro, Insurance, Other are in a better position than the previous fiscal year; the speculative environment, in the assumption of higher return from the companies related to these sectors, is taking place in the market attributing to a significant growth of 12.82 points in the local bus this week.
The Nepse by the end of this week came to close at 506.45 levels.
The Sensitive index, which measures the movement of blue chip companies, also inclined by 3.43 points to settle at 126.12 levels. Likewise, Float index, which measures the movement of ordinary shares only, also increased by 0.27 points to settle at 35.45 levels.
The increase in the demand in the scrips of Banking, Hydro, Insurance and Others this week boosted the sectors by a huge margin of 13.95, 13.02, 35.86 and 23.49 points respectively. As the return history in most of the companies related to these sectors is impressive, the investors are mainly lured to invest in these sectors’ scrips.
Likewise, Development also advanced by 5.18 points followed by Finance with 0.25 points. As for Hotels, it dropped by 12.16 points alongside 9.45 point decline of Manufacturing.
The turnover of the market also made a jump of 17.39 percent this week to total around Rs 446.67 million with a daily average of Rs 89.33 million compared to Rs 75.77 million of the prior week.
Altogether, the market saw 5,412 transactions in which 1,820,091 shares were traded. The market capitalization at the end of the review period stood at Rs 501807.97 million.
Overall, the scrips of 119 companies were traded, out of which 69 scrips gained, 15 remained intact and 35 scrips lost.
The highest gainer among the scrips traded this week was Shree Investment Finance Co. Ltd (SIFC) that closed at Rs 281, gaining of Rs 98 or 53.55%.
Whereas, Himalayan Finance Limited (Bittiya Sanstha) (HFL), closed at Rs 35.32, was the highest loser with Rs 11, or 23.91%, loss. Among the shares trading above par, Taragaon Regency Hotel (TRH), closed at Rs 100, was the top loser with Rs 13 or 11.50% loss.
In terms of the highest shares traded among mutual fund, Nabil Balance Fund 1 (NBF1), closed at Rs 9.90, topped with 395,011 units whereas among the ordinary scrips trading above par, Nepal Bangladesh Bank Ltd. (NBB), closed at Rs 305, topped with 60,344 units.
In case of highest turnover, Chilime Hydro power Co. Ltd (CHCL), closed at Rs 1161, topped with 56,439 units worth Rs 64,120,332 via 317 transactions; in which Broker no 38 (Dipshikha Dhitopatra Karobar Co. Pvt. Ltd.) was the most active Broker with 16.97% stand alone dealing of CHCL, tallying 19,282 units worth Rs 21,765,317 via 88 transactions which include 5 matching transactions totaling 600 units worth Rs 677,850.
