NEPSE Witnessed Loss of 0.53% to Close at 2,030.86 Levels; Only Manufacturing And Processing Sector Closed In Green

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index saw a slight loss of 0.53%, or 10.83 points, settling at 2,030.86 points at the close of trading today, following a gain of 10.14 points in the previous session.

Opening at 2,042.09, the trading day witnessed fluctuations as the index reached an intraday high of 2,053.71 before dipping to an intraday low of 2,025.10.

With a bustling trading environment, 310 different stocks were exchanged in 44,249 transactions. The total volume of shares traded stood at 6,047,021, reflecting a total turnover of Rs. 2.23 Arba. The market capitalization closed at Rs. 32.20 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.85 Kharba.

 

SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) emerged as the highlight of the day with a turnover of Rs. 9.72 Crore, closing at a market price of Rs. 525.

 

Similarly, Sarbottam Cement Limited (SARBTM) hit the positive circuit today.

 

Conversely, Kalika Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd (KMCDB) faced the decline, losing 5.66% to close at Rs. 753.70.

 

In terms of sector, Only one Sector Index concluded in positive territory, with the "Manufacturing And Processing Index" leading with a gain of 0.91%. However, the "Finance Index" witnessed a decline of 1.72%.
