NEPSE UP BY MEAGER 0.76 POINT

The benchmark Nepse index today also continued with its lethargy movement as the local bourse observed a movement of less than 2.5 points.
Following the opening of Nepse from the prior week’s closing, the market index dwelled in the bearish zone near to the end of the day’s end. However, the improvement in sub-indices related to Banking and Financial Institutions in the last half hour helped the Nepse to make a gain of 0.76 points to close at 494.39 levels.
All the three sub-indices related to Banking and Financial Institutions i.e. Banking, Development and Finance by the end of the day made an incline of 0.72, 1.69 and 0.62 points respectively. Similarly, Insurance made a hefty jump of 7.05 points followed by Manufacturing with 0.57 points growth.
While, Hotels made a huge loss of 6.2 points alongside 1.11 point drop in Hydro. As for Others, it remained intact at 622.7 levels.
Overall, the scrips of 94 companies were traded, out of which 43 scrips gained, 20 remained intact and 31 scrips lost.
The best performer for the day was, Shree Investment Finance Co. Ltd (SIFC), closed at Rs 201, with Rs 18 or 9.84% gain. Whereas, Taragaon Regency Hotel (TRH), closed at Rs 102, was the worst performer with Rs 11 or 9.73% loss.
In case of the highest shares traded among mutual fund, Nabil Balance Fund 1 (NBF1), closed at Rs 9.98, topped with 49,072 units. In case of ordinary scrips trading above par, Commerz and Trust Bank Nepal Ltd. (CTBNL), closed at Rs 140, topped with 9,767 units.
In terms of turnover, Machhachapuchhre Bank Limited Promoter Share (MBLPO), closed at Rs 95, topped with 236,717 units worth Rs 22,488,115 via 1 transaction.
Among the ordinary shares, Chilime Hydro power Co. (CHCL), closed at Rs 1129, topped with 8,117 units worth Rs 9,167,727 via 66 transactions. The broker with the highest standalone dealing of CHCL was Broker No 38 (Dipshikha Dhitopatra Karobar Co. Pvt. Ltd.) with 27%; amounting Rs. 4,951,235 via 34 transactions totaling 4,385 units which includes 3 matching transactions tallying 450 units worth Rs 508,450.
Overall, 528,714 units of shares were traded via 1,252 transactions worth Rs 98,480,703.The market capitalization at the end of the day stood at Rs 489,857.86 Millions.
