Nepse up by 6.24 points

Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) traded in the green terrain for the entire session. It seems closing day of the current fiscal year have compelled the big investors to increase the price level to avoid the margin calls from the banks. Apart from this, there are also new fiscal year one third budget declarations which are supposed to make today evening, have attracted the investors in the expectation of positive policies drawn towards capital market of Nepal. All this made benchmark index to close at 389.72 level.
Today, 20 million units of Janata Bank Nepal Limited were listed in the Nepal Stock Exchange for trading with (JBNL) ticker. The scrip was traded at the highest of Rs 190 and lowest of Rs 116 and settled at Rs 187. However, all transaction below price Rs 187 has been cancelled by the Nepse because of the violation of trading range by brokers. As per the Nepse trading rule the trading price movement should be within the 2% range of the last traded price which was not applied below the range of Rs 187.
In today’s session,National Hydro Power Co. (NHPC), which has received 14 days to conduct its AGM from Company Registrar’s office closed at Rs 55, was the Top Gainer with Rs 5 or 10%. Similarly, Api Finance Limited (AFL), settled at Rs 111, was the Top Loser with Rs 12 or 9.76%. With 582,515 units worth Rs 87,959,765,NIDC Capital Markets Ltd. Promoter Share (NCMPO) had the highest turnover and share traded.
In case of ordinary share,KIST Bank Limited (KIST), closed at Rs 121, topped the category of highest share traded by means of 120,200 units. All in all, Everest Bank Limited (EBL), closed at Rs 1033, had the highest turnover of 18,211 shares worth Rs 18,253,866 via 186 transactions; in which Broker No 10 (Pragyan Securities Pvt. Limited) was the most active broker with 88.59% stand alone dealing of EBL, amounting Rs 16,171,466 of 16126 units via 159 transactions .
Sectoral wise, Development sector decline by 0.09 or 0.04% points to settle at 245.43 level. On the other hand, Hydro sector climbed the highest with 3% followed by Others, Banking, Insurance and Finance with 2.65%, 1.73%, 0.56% and 0.13% point respectively. On the contrary, Hotels sector remain intact at 489.04 level. Sensitive index rose by 1.78 or 01.81% points to settle at 100.38 points while float index added 0.296 or 0.98% to settle at 30.56 points.
Total scrips traded for the day was 71 with 38 gainers and 22 losers with total turnover of Rs 160,726,675 which is astoundingly Rs 30,095,593or 23.04% higher than prior trading session. Overall 860,863units of shares were traded via 789 transactions with the market capitalization of Rs 368,262.13 Millions.
