Nepse up by 0.34 points

It was all in all a seesaw day for the Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) as the index was in green terrain for the first hour of the trade but with the loss in Banking, Hotels, Development and Insurance sectors, the benchmark index went into bearish in second hour. However, the improvement in the Others, Hydro and Finance helped to gain a positive momentum for Nepse to add 0.34 points to close at 377.72 in the final hour.
In today’s trading session, Seti Finance Limited, which closed at Rs 67, was the Top Gainer with Rs 5 or 8.06 %. Whereas Manakamana Development Bank Ltd., which settled at Rs 64, was the Top Loser with Rs 5 or 7.25%. Likewise, Prime Commercial Bank Limited, closed at Rs 232, topped the category of highest transaction by means of 101 transactions. Similarly, KIST Bank Limited (KIST) had the highest share traded as well as turnover of 86,500 shares worth Rs 10,031,500 via 9 transactions; in which Broker No 10 (Pragyan Securities Pvt. Limited) was the most active broker with 88.35% stand alone dealing of KIST, amounting Rs 8,862,400 of 76,400 units via 1 matching transaction.
Sectoral wise, Hydro sectors had the highest gain of 1.5% followed by Others and Finance with 1.05%, and 0.1% respectively whereas Manufacturing remain intact on 666.76 level. On the other side, Development sector suffered the highest loss of 0.70% followed by Banking, Insurance, and Hotels with 0.28%, 0.25% and 0.15% points respectively. Sensitive index climbed by 0.06 or 0.07% point to settle at 97.06 points while Float index lost 0.065 or 0.07% point to close at 29.87 points.
Total scrips traded for the day was 80 with 21 gainers and 38 losers with total turnover of Rs 41,349,172 which is comparatively Rs 9,753,088 or 19.08% lower than prior trading session. Overall 203,174 units of shares were traded via 938 transactions with total market capitalization of Rs. 356,908.58 millions.
