NEPSE Trips Down Painful 53.16 Points; All Sectors Witness Harsh Plunge

The NEPSE index closed at 1,888.61 today after losing huge 53.16 points from the last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 2.74%. The index lost 17.38 points this Sunday.

Today the index opened at 1,944.06 which is also the intraday high. In contrast, it went as low as 1,884.91 and ultimately closed at 1,888.61.

275 scrips traded hands via 40,634 transactions. A total of 7,074,255 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 2.34 Arba in turnover amount. This is lower than the last trading day's turnover of Rs. 2.63 Arba.

Shivam Cements Limited (SHIVM) had the highest turnover of Rs. 21.24 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 462 per share. The shares of GBIMEP traded the most.

Aatmanirbhar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ANLB) gained the highest 10% and hit the positive circuit for the day.

Conversely, Swet-Ganga Hydropower & Construction Limited (SGHC) lost the highest 9.26% today.

All sector indices closed red, "Life Insurance" lost the highest 3.50% while "Mutual Fund" lost the least 1.42% today.
