NEPSE Trips Down Painful 39.26 Points; RAWA Hits Positive Circuit Whereas MEL Hits Negative Circuit on First Trading Day

The NEPSE index closed at 2,049.44 today after losing 39.26 points from the last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 1.88%. The index gained 12.73 points yesterday.
Today the index opened at 2,090.38 and then made the intraday high at 2,101.59. In contrast, it went as low as 2,046.55 and ultimately closed at 2,049.44.
277 scrips traded hands via 53,103 transactions. A total of 8,092,969 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 3.07 Arba in turnover amount. This is higher than the last trading day's turnover of Rs. 2.57 Arba.
SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) shares traded the most and had the highest turnover of Rs. 16.49 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 587 per share.
Rawa Energy Development Limited (RAWA) and City Hotel Limited (CITY) gained the highest 9.99% each and technically hit the positive circuit for the day.
Conversely, Modi Energy Limited (MEL) and BPW Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (BPW) lost all 10% today.
All sector indices closed red, "Life Insurance" lost the highest 3.31% while "Mutual Fund" lost the least 0.23% today.
