NEPSE to Remain Closed on Wednesday, Govt Declares Public Holiday on The Occasion of Constitution Day

The Government of Nepal has announced a public holiday for Wednesday (today) i.e. on 3rd Ashwin on the occasion of 'Constitution Day'.
Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) will remain closed to mark Constitution Day. Regular trading will resume in NEPSE from Thursday (4th Ashwin, 2080) at 11:00 AM.
The day marks the promulgation of the constitution written by the people's representatives through the Constituent Assembly on Ashoj 3, 2072 BS. The present constitution is the seventh written constitution of Nepal which aims at establishing socialism through citizens' socioeconomic and cultural rights.
