Government Declares Public Holiday on Wednesday on the Occasion of Prithvi Jayanti.
The government has decided to give a public holiday on the occasion of Prithvi Jayanti on Poush 27. The cabinet meeting held on Monday evening decided to declare a public holiday on Wednesday.
Prithvi Jayanti is a patriotic observance in Nepal to celebrate national unity and the birthday of the country's original unifier, King Prithvi Narayan Shah. It is also known as National Unity Day.
As such, NEPSE will also remain closed on Wednesday.
