NEPSE THREE MONTHS HIGH

As the FY 2069/70 has just ended, the investor speculation about companies earning has started to kick-in, driving the overall market sentiment in the upward direction.

With the earnings reports of commercial banks and other institutions spreading through viral communication, the investors are in row to acquire the scrips of these companies attributing in high demand.

Such sentiment of the investors today kept the local bourse in the bullish mark for the entire day and enhancing it to three months high.

The benchmark index today rocketed up by 9.92 points to close at 521.53 levels.

The high speculation in the banking scrips mainly helped to boost the Banking sector by a hefty 10.91 points. Similarly, Others also made a gain of 12.92 points.

Whereas, Hydro was the highest gainer among the sub-indices with advance of 29.92 points. Likewise, Hotels and Insurance made incline of 4.5 and 5.36 points respectively.

As for Development, Finance and Manufacturing , also increased by 1.64, 0.85 and 1.77 points respectively.

Similarly, the turnover of the market also amplified as it crossed Rs 100 million ceiling, the market turnover today stood at Rs 112,891,566. Overall, 266,976 units of share were traded by  1044 transactions; the market capitalization by the end of the day tallied to Rs 518,411.95 million.

All in all, the scrips of 84 companies were traded, out of which 55 scrips gained, 9 remained intact and 20 scrips lost.

The best performer for the day was, NIC Asia Bank Limited (NICA), closed at Rs 669, was the top gainer with Rs 60 or 9.85% gain.

Whereas, National Hydro Power Co. (NHPC), closed at Rs 56, was the top loser with Rs 4 or 6.67% loss. Among the shares trading above par, Kailash Bikas Bank Ltd. (KBBL), closed at Rs 154, was the top loser with Rs 6 or 3.75% loss.

In case of the highest shares traded among mutual fund, Nabil Balance Fund 1 (NBF1), closed at Rs 10.12, topped with 16,669 units. In case of ordinary scrips, International Leasing And Fin. Co. (ILFC), closed at Rs 152, topped with 31,407 units.

In terms of turnover, Chilime Hydro power Co. (CHCL), closed at Rs 1270, topped with 18,040 units worth Rs 22,673,883 via 95 transactions. The broker with the highest standalone dealing of CHCL  was Broker No 6 (Agrawal Securities Pvt. Limited) with 40.97%; amounting Rs 18,577,977 via 35 transactions totaling 14,833 units which includes 5 matching transactions tallying 4,948 units worth Rs 6,180,030.
