NEPSE tanks 14.01 points to close at  1,184.53 points; Shares of Nepal Bank stood ahead in terms of turnover

The local bourse in the Nepal Stock Exchange has decreased by double digits on the first trading day of the week. The market that had started at 1,198.54 points lost 14.01 points and ended at 1,184.53 points.

Total turnover was worth meager Rs 19.72 crore which was generated through the exchange of 6,19,741 unit shares. During the day, the shares of 158 companies were exchanged through 3,683 transactions.

The stock of Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) stood ahead in terms of turnover as shares worth more than Rs 80.01 lakh were exchanged during the day. Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank Limited (KSBBL) stood ahead in terms of units of shares traded as 30,209 unit shares were traded during the day.

The shareholders of Aarambha Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited (AMFI) earned the most as the price of the shares increased by 27 points where the LTP stood as Rs 486. Likewise, the shareholders of Tinau Development Bank Limited (TNBL), lost the most during the day’s trade as the price decreased by 9 points where the LTP stood at Rs 166.

Both the sensitive and float index decreased by 2.97 points and 1.09 points respectively.

All the sub-indices fell in the red zone. Insurance sector lost 89.03 points which was followed by Microfinance sectors lost  25.74 points.
