NEPSE Takes Another Heavy Beating From The Bears; Index Closes At 2,926.89 After Losing 50.13 Points

The NEPSE index closed at 2,926.89 today after losing 50.13 points from yesterday's closing. The index had gained a minimal 1.18 points yesterday.
The index opened at 2,976.17 and immediately made the intraday high at 2,993.40. While it went as low as 2,916.26, it ultimately closed at 2,926.89.
A total of 18,109,967 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 9.505 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 9.35 Arba. 230 scrips traded hands via 105,775 transactions.
Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited (AHPC) had the highest turnover of Rs. 57.4 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 694 per share. The units of Nabil Balanced Fund - 2 (NBF2) were traded the most.
Sanima Life Insurance Company Limited (SLI) and Manakamana Smart Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MKLB) gained 10% today, which is the highest permissible intraday gain for a scrip. On the other side of things, Narayani Development Bank Limited (NABBC) lost the most 6.87%.
All Sectors have closed red today. Finance lost the most 3.68%, followed by Hydropower that lost 3.39%.
