NEPSE Surges By Minimal 0.03% To Close at 2,611.43 Levels; Trading Index Gains Highest

In today's session, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) lost 1.03 points (0.03%) to close at 2,611.43. This follows a 3.44-point loss in the previous session.

The index opened at 2,608.6, reaching an intraday high of 2,625.70 and a low of 2,608.57. The total turnover stood at Rs. 8.74 Arba, with 20,542,764 shares exchanged across 318 companies through 80,054 transactions. The market's total capitalization was Rs. 43.44 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 14.47 Kharba.

Sanima Mai Hydropower Ltd. (SHPC) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 92.89 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 615.

Two companies led the gainers' list, hitting the upper circuit limit.

Meanwhile, Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (WNLB) recorded the steepest drop, falling 10%.

Among sectors, the Others Index posted the highest decline of 1.58%, whereas the Trading Index saw the highest gain of 2.03%.
