NEPSE Surges By 23.87 Points to Close at 2,820.44; NHPC Leads the Turnover

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a gain today, gaining by 23.87 points (0.85%) to settle at 2,820.44. This follows a 46.78 point loss in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2800.06, touching an intraday high of 2,830.27, while the lowest point was 2,781.00. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 14.55 Arba, with 41,686,405 shares traded across 335 companies through 130,015 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 47.44 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 16.22 Kharba.


National Hydro Power Company Limited (NHPC) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 67.79 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 290.10.


Salapa Bikas Bank Limited (SABBL) and Reliance Spinning Mills Limited (RSML) Hit Upper Circuit with 10.00% each.


Meanwhile, Kumari Sabal Yojana (KSY) recorded the steepest drop, falling 3.72%.


Among sectors, the Banking SubIndex registered the highest gain, gaining 2.02%, while the Others Index saw the highest loss at 0.74%.
