NEPSE Surges By 2.12% as Thirteen Brokers Couldnot Trade Due to Digi Hub TMS Malfunction; Eight Scrips Hits Upper Circuit

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a gain today, gaining by 57.55 points (2.12%) to settle at 2,772.17. This follows a 9.23 point gain the previous session. However, a technical malfunction in Digi Hub’s Trading Management System (TMS) has blocked 13 brokers from trading, leaving investors frustrated as the market climbs ahead of elections.

While some brokers continue using NEPSE’s TMS or their own systems, such as NASA Securities's TMS called NASA X, others including Nepal Stock House, Roadshock, Arun, Opal, Swarnalaxmi, Kalika, NAIMB, Himalayan Brokerage, Dynamic, and Secured Securities rely on Digi Hub’s platform.

The benchmark index opened at 2,716.28, touching an intraday high of 2,772.22, while the lowest point was 2,715.78. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 13.78 Arba, with 30,915,183 shares traded across 331 companies through 133,529 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 46.54 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.86 Kharba.


Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company Ltd (AKJCL) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 43.59 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 268.40.


Eight Companies Hit Upper Circuit By gaining a maximum of 10% each.


Meanwhile,10.50% Everest Bank Limited Debenture 2085 (EBLD85) recorded the steepest drop, falling 5.80%.


Among sectors, the Hotels And Tourism Index registered the highest gain, gaining 3.35%, while the Mutual Fund saw the least gain at 0.97%.
