NEPSE surges 3.6 points on the last trading day of this week

The bench mark index of Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) closed at 853.76 levels, gaining 3.6 points or 0.42 percent, compared to yesterday’s 850.16 level.

NEPSE opened at 850.13 level and touched the intraday high of 857.71 level in the initial hour.

Surge in bourse on the last trading day of this week has hiked the confidence among the investors in the country.

The total turnover has increased by Rs 4.82 million, attributed by the manual turnover of Rs 4.52 million, to settle at Rs 180.38 million, compared to yesterday’s total of Rs 175.56 million.
Altogether 434,032 shares of 118 scrips were traded through 1,701 transactions.


Among the sub-indices, HydroPower gained by double digit of 13.21 points or 0.63 percent. Banking and Development ascended by 6.84 and 0.35 points or 0.93 and 0.05 percent respectively. Hotels raised by 4.55 points.
On the contrary, Insurance dropped by double digit of 18.53 points or 0.51 percent. Similarly Manufacturing declined by 5.19 points. Others and Finance had meager plunge of 0.18 and 1.17 points respectively.


Professional Diyalo Bikas Bank was on the top of the gainers, whose share price increased by Rs 14 or 9.4 percent, followed by the news of 15 percent dividend by the bank to its shareholders.
Similarly Prudential Finance, Country Development, Infrastructure Development and Vibor Bikas Bank were were few among the gainers of the day.
NABIL’s share price hiked by Rs 49 or 2.94 percent.
Whereas Union Finance, Siddharth Finance, Miteri Development, Nepal Community Development and Reliable Development were few loserd of the day.
