NEPSE SURGE BY DOUBLE DIGIT

Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) today witnessed a healthy growth of 10.18 points, to settle at 771.70 levels.
Making a contrasting transition compared to prior trading days, the stock index today floated on the green terrain from the initial trading hour and continued to do so till the end of the day.
Exploiting the lower price of the shares from the recent correction, the investors today also continued to accumulate shares of most the listed companies.
Mostly the investors today added blue chip companies in their portfolio which attributed to 2.06 point gain in the sensitive index level. Genuine demands of the shares were observed in the market as Float and Sensitive Float also increased near to same percentage that of the benchmark NEPSE index. These two sub-indices today added 0.6 and 0.5 points respectively.
Likewise, the investors opting to capitalize on the lower price of other listed shares also contributed to rise in levels of all remaining sub-indices today.
Insurance sector was the highest gainer among the sectors as it made double digit growth of 67.64 levels. Similarly, Hotels and Hydro also increase with two digit figures, as Hotels added 29.3 points and Hydro advanced by 11.41 points.
In the same way, maintaining its gaining streak Banking sub-indices today further propelled by 9.82 points. Alongside it, two of the remaining banking and financial sub-indices, Development and Finance also made sound growth of 4.42 and 3.42 points respectively.
As for Others, it surged by 7.04 points while Manufacturing sustained meager gain of 0.28 points.
Altogether there were trade of 107 scrips, among which 71 scrips gained, 9 scrips remained intact and 27 scrips suffered loss.
The best performer among the traded scrips was Taragaon Regency Hotel (TRH), closed at Rs 210, with a gain of Rs 19 or 9.95 percent. Whereas, Miteri Development Bank Limited (MDB), closed at Rs 302, was the worst performer with loss of Rs 16 or 5.33 percent.
The scrips with the highest turnover in today’s trade was Kumari Bank Ltd (KBL), closed at Rs 519, with trading of 88,815 units worth Rs 45,904,411 via only 155 transactions.
The Broker with the highest transaction of KBL was Broker no 25 (Sweta Securities Pvt. Li) with 42.10% standalone dealing of the KBL, tallying 75,205 units worth Rs 38,659,381 via 71 transactions which includes 17 matching transactions totaling 26,500 units share worth Rs 13,566,000.
The total market turnover today tallied at Rs 358,001,921, totaling 752,803 units of share which were traded through 2,860 transactions. The market capitalization at the end of the day stood at Rs 783,919.04 Millions.
