NEPSE SUBSIDE BY 3.4 POINTS

The market today yet again confronted the bearish movement as the local bourse made a downhill of 3.4 points to close at 496.75 levels. Despite making a 3 point gain in the previous week to sustain over 500 levels, the lack of positive and motivating news has just kept the investors in wait and watch situation leading in higher supply than demand. Facing the same scenario in the market today, the market index came to plunge from the beginning of the session till the end.
Though the index plunged, there was good news for the shareholders of Central Finance Ltd. as the company has decided to give a 15% bonus share which is subjected to approval from NRB and its upcoming AGM.
As for the movement of sub-indices, Banking tumbled by 4.75 points followed by Others with plummet of 4.7 points. Similarly, remaining two of the sub-indices related to Banking and Financial Institutions, i.e. Development and Finance also plunged by 1.28 and 0.38 points respectively. Likewise, Hotels made a fall of 1.32 points and Hydro dropped by 1.04 points whereas, Insurance sector was the only sub group with a gain of 6.16 points.
Overall there were trades of 85 scrips among which 16 scrips increased 16 remained intact and 53 scrips decreased. The best performer for the day was, Lumbini General Insurance (LGIL), closed at Rs 128, with Rs 11 or 9.40% gain. Whereas, Shikhar Insurance Co. Ltd. (SICL), closed at Rs 540, was the worst performer with Rs 54 or 9.09% loss.
In case of the highest shares traded among mutual fund, Nabil Balance Fund 1 (NBF1), closed at Rs 10.41, topped with 63,731 units. In case of ordinary scrips, Asian Life Insurance Co. Limited (ALICL), closed at Rs 254, topped with 21,152 units. In terms of turnover, Everest Bank Ltd (EBL), closed at Rs 1545, topped with 4,401 units worth Rs 6,804,145 via 23 transactions. The most active Broker with the highest stand-alone dealing of EBL was Broker no 6 (Agrawal Securities Pvt. Limited) with 27.91%, tallying 2,454 units worth Rs 3,797,946 via 7 transactions which includes 2 matching transactions totaling 450 units worth Rs 697,150.
Altogether there were trade of 251,040 units of share via 1,100 transactions worth Rs 66,117,914; the market capitalization at the day stood at Rs 492,192.95 Millions.
