NEPSE STILL SUSTAINED LOSS DESPITE ITS BOUNCE BACK

The persistent profit booking from the traders continued to woe the market as the benchmark index suffered loss of 1.17 points today also. The Nepse index today closed at 796.18 level.
With the traders on the selling spree, the local bourse continued to tumble from the beginning of today’s session. The profit taking in banking, others, hotels and finance scrips proved to be a torment for the market as the market index at one point plunge to 792 level.
Near to the end of the session, however, the selling pressure in above sectors’ shares witnessed a dilution which eased the market in narrowing its loss.
In spite of late recovery, the secondary market of Nepal till sustained a loss. Similarly, above mentioned sectors also came to settle on zed zone.
Hotels today suffered the highest blow as it dropped by 28.72 points followed by Others with loss of 5.87 points and Finance with decline of 5.86 points. Likewise, banking also suffered loss 1.53 points.
While, Manufacturing produced a spectacular rally of 24.65 points. Similarly, Insurance followed with surge of 10.64 points, Hydro with 5.49 points gain and Development with 2.56 points increment.
Altogether there were trade of 118 scrips, among which 45 scrips gained, 15 scrips remained intact and 58 scrips suffered loss.
The best performer among the traded shares was Zenith Finance Limited (ZFL), closed Rs165, with a gain of Rs 15 or 10 percent. Whereas, Malika Bikash Bank Limited (MDBL), closed at Rs 154, was the worst performer with loss of Rs 12 or 7.23 percent.
Chilime Hydro power Co. (CHCL), which closed at Rs 1865, had the highest turnover among the traded scrips today. Overall, 24,569 units of CHCL were traded through 186 transactions worth Rs 44,801,257.
Following CHCL, Nepal Life Insurance Co. Ltd. (NLIC), closed at Rs 5200, had the second highest turnover worth Rs 33,065,416. The company has decided to distribute 70% bonus shares and 28.5% cash dividend to its share holders which is subjected to approval from Beema Samiti and its upcoming AGM.
The market turnover today stood at Rs 283,907,970, with total number of shares traded at 476,154 units which were traded through 1,977 transactions.
