NEPSE Slips Back 0.21 Points From All-Time High; Finance and Development Banks Sector Soar

The NEPSE index lost a minimal 0.21 points from the all-time high created yesterday and closed at 2,906.70. This is thus, the second-highest closing in the entire history of NEPSE. The index opened at 2,928.09 immediately made the intraday high at 2,932.82. While it went as low as 2,892.98, it ultimately closed at 2,906.70.

35,474,414 shares traded hands via 151,942 transactions. The trading of 221 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 15.81 Arba. NEPSE had created the highest intraday turnover ever recorded in Nepal's capital market of Rs. 17.271 Arba yesterday.

While the float index lost 0.07 points and closed at 201.28, the Sensitive index is at 520.63 after losing 0.38 points.

Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 62.17 crores.

Over a dozen companies have closed at the upper limit of 10% intraday gain today.

On the other side of things, Laxmi Bank Limited (LBL) lost the most 3.58%.

Six sectors lost today and seven others closed green. Trading lost the most 2.21% and Finance gained the most 8.27%, followed by Development Banks that gained an equally impressive 6.27%.
