NEPSE SLIDES AT END TO SUFFER LOSS OF 1.24 POINTS

Enhancing its yesterday’s correction movement, the stock index further diluted by 1.24 points today to close at 580.55 levels.
In contrast to yesterday’s transition, the market index today showed a sign of a bounce back as the benchmark index came to reach towards 583 levels. However, the increase in the liquidation of the Banking and Hydro sectors’ scrips put forth a dent in the movement and caused the local bourse to gradually shift downwards.
Though the local bourse again tried to recoup, the building of the additional selling pressure at the end push the stock index further in the south and prevailed the market from narrowing its loss.
Like yesterday’s the investor today also rushed to capitalize the current levels of Banking and Hydro sectors scrips, attributing to a loss of 3.43 points in Banking and 9.59 point plunge in Hydro. Similarly, Finance and Insurance also came to decline by 0.38 and 5.35 points respectively.
Whereas two of the yesterday’s decliners, Development and Others recovered 0.19 and 3.53 points respectively from today's session. While, Hotels continued with its dazzling performance as today also it added 57.54 points.
All in all, 93 scrips were traded, out of which 35 scrips gained, 17 remained intact and 41 scrips lost.
The best performer in today’s session was Soaltee Hotel Ltd. (SHL), closed at Rs 381, with a gain of Rs 34 or 9.8 percent whereas Namaste Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (NBSL) , closed at Rs 199, was the worst performer for the day with a loss of Rs 20 or 9.13 percent.
The scrip with the highest turnover in today’s market was of Nepal Credit And Com. Bank (NCCB), closed at Rs 279, with a turnover worth Rs 14,308,610 which was carried out through 39 transactions totaling 51,109 units.
The broker with the highest standalone dealing of the NCCB was Broker No 56 (Sri Hari Securities Pvt. Ltd.) with 37.82%; amounting Rs 10,821,900 via 25 transactions totaling 38,739 units in which 3,720 units were carried out through 2 matching transactions tallying Rs 1,037,880.
In the overall market, 414,926 unit shares were traded by 1,803 transactions worth Rs 120,552,207. The market capitalization at the end of the day stood at Rs 588,905.67 million.
