NEPSE Sinks 2.94% and Closes at 2,651.49, All Sectors Bleed Red

The NEPSE index closed at 2,651.49 today after losing 80.29 points from last Thursday's closing. The index had lost 3.22 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,730.75 and did not trade higher. While it went as low as 2,644.91, it ultimately closed at 2,651.49.

A total of 11,903,202 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 5.835 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than last Thursday's turnover of Rs. 3.789 Arba. 234 scrips traded hands via 70,842 transactions.

Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Limited (MLBL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 29.81 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 652 per share. The units of Siddhartha Equity Fund (SEF) traded the most.

ICFC Finance Limited (ICFC) gained the most 9.78%. Meanwhile, Himalayan Power Partner Limited (HPPL) lost the most 8.49%.

All sectors closed red today. "Trading" lost the most 5.37%.
