NEPSE SHOWED NO SIGN OF REPRISAL

Despite the continuous decline from the start of this week, the Nepse index today also showed no sign of reprisal. The benchmark index after opening, continued with its downward spiral and sustain the same movement till the halfway. The meager gain in the last hour of trade helped the local bourse to narrow its loss to 1 point; the market index today closed at 494.34 levels
Among the sub-indices, Finance and Insurance were the only sectors with the surge of 1.02 and 4.01 points respectively. Whereas, Hydro today made the highest plunge of 10.09 points followed by Banking and Development with 1.57 and 0.31 points tumble respectively. As for Others, it remained intact at 616.82 levels.
In other news, Gobal IME Bank Limited (GBIME), Asian Life Insurance (ALICL), Yeti Finance Limited (YFL), Nepal Express Finance (NEFL), Tinau Development Bank (TNBL), Kabeli Bikas Bank (KEBL) and Birat Laxmi Bikas Bank Limited (BLDBL) have listed their bonus share on Nepal Stock Exchange today for trading purpose. These companies have provided bonus share to its shareholders from the profit of fiscal year 2068/69.
Overall there were trades of 89 scrips among which 34 scrips increased 17 remained intact and 38 scrips decreased. The best performer for the day was, Nepal Express Finance Limited (NEFL), closed at Rs 120, with Rs 9 or 8.11% gain. Whereas, Shikhar Insurance Co. Ltd. (SICL), closed at Rs 384, was the worst performer with Rs 136 or 26.15% loss.
In case of the highest shares traded among mutual fund, Nabil Balance Fund 1 (NBF1), closed at Rs 10.17, topped with 124,398 units. In case of ordinary scrips, Nepal Bangladesh Bank Ltd. (NBB), closed at Rs 299, topped with 19,588 units. In terms of turnover, Sagarmatha Insurance Co.Ltd (SIC), closed at Rs 1165, topped with 5,652 units worth Rs 6,519,906 via 78 transactions.
Altogether there were trade of 347,895 units of share via 1,111 transactions worth Rs 66,244,485; the market capitalization at the day stood at Rs 489,743.26 Millions.
