Bulls were crazy for the entire session today to close 3.45 points or 0.87% up to settled at 395.46 points at the end. With the news of increase in profit of commercial banks during 2068/69 fiscal year in different newspaper and talks of implementation of margin lending against share purchase receipt taking the momentum spur the market in first session above 398.5 level; which later due to supply pressure dragged it back near to opening level of 393 index. Overall, huge volume transaction with positive momentum of all the sectors made Nepse closed at highest level of last 36 trading days.
In today’s session, Summit Micro Finance Dev. Bank Ltd. (SMFDB), closed at Rs 189, was the Top Gainer with Rs 17 or 9.88%. Similarly, Janata Bank Nepal Limited (JBNL), settled at Rs 153, was the Top Loser with Rs 15 or 8.88%. It seems that both the newly listed companies (SMFDB) and (JBNL) investors has not been able to track the right range for trading which makes these stocks such volatile.
KIST Bank Limited (KIST), closed at Rs 127, topped the category of highest share traded by means of 36,032 units. Likewise, Agricultural Development Bank Limited (ADBL), closed at Rs 198, topped the category of highest number of transaction with 161 times. With positive news coming regarding foreign strategic alliance and surplus reserves makes this stock favorite among investors from last few days.
All in all, again with 11,222 shares worth Rs 10,214,682 via 82 transactions, Chilime Hydro power Co. (CHCL), closed at Rs 916, had the highest turnover and transaction; in which Broker No 16 (Primo Securities Pvt. Limited) was the most active broker with 27.86% stand alone dealing of CHCL, amounting Rs 2,846,714 of 3,138 units via 11 transactions which includes matching of 28 units worth Rs 25,340 via 2 transactions.
Sectoral wise, all end in high note among which its Insurance sector top the chart which rose by 2% to settle at 508.99 at the end. Similarly, Banking, Hydropower, Development Bank, Others and Finance also increased by of 0.92%, 0.76%, 1.03%, 0.99% and 0.24% points respectively. Sensitive index added 0.91 or 0.9% points to rest at 101.88 points while Float index also rocketed up by 0.249 or 0.81% point to halt at 30.96 level.
Total scrips traded for the day was 87 with 60 gainers and 20 losers with total turnover of Rs 72,572,898 which is comparatively Rs 22,275,584 or 44.29% higher than prior trading session. Overall 254,176 units of shares were traded via 1,592 transactions with the market capitalization of Rs 373,678.26 Millions.
