NEPSE sheds 6.13 points to close at 856.88 level

The only index of Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) dropped by 6.13 points or 0.17 percent to stand at 856.88 level, compared to previous trading day’s closing of 863.01 level.
The ongoing row between the three major political parties regarding giving the constitution to the country; resulted in low confidence levels and turmoil among the investors in the country.
Due to the lack of participation of the investors in the market, the total turnover has further more decreased by almost Rs 32 million, compared to previous trading day’s turnover of Rs 147.6 million.
Altogether 251,179 units share were traded through 1,768 transactions worth only Rs 115.6 million.

Among the sub-indices, Banking sector plunged by 6.08 points or 0.81 percent, followed by Development and Finance which dived 3.09 and 2.53 points or 0.47 and 0.54 percent respectively.
HydroPower and Insurance had double digit fall of 20.84 and 31.65 points respectively.
Similarly, Hotels and Others declined by 3.4 and 3.53 points respectively.
Manufacturing, which surged 2.32 points, was the only sector to land on green.
Himalayan Distillery and few development banks like Sahara Bikas, Mount Makalu Development, Pacific Development and Sangrila Development Bank were the top gainers.
Whereas Kalinchowk Development, Infrastructure Development, Laxmi Laghubitta, Reliable Development and Prudential Finance company were among the top losers of the day.
