Nepse shed 1.16 points

Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (Nepse) shed 1.16 points or 0.13 percent to close at 924.34 level today.
Amid the selling pressure in two of the heavy weight sectors i.e. banking and others, the market dropped right from the beginning of day’s trade.
Banking and Others sub-groups, which covers more than 80 percent of market capitalization, dropped by 1.36 points and 5.87 points respectively.
Though banking scrips made slight recovery at end, the selling pressure in Hydro scrips left the market tilted towards red zone. Hydro sector suffered loss of 8.45 points.
Among remaining sub-indices, Hotels gained 11.39 points, Development and Finance made meager incline of 0.78 point and 0.64 point respectively. Insurance and Manufacturing made healthy growth of 7.34 points and 5.03 points respectively.
As for the market turnover, altogether 647,603 units share were traded through 2,366 transactions worth Rs 244.70 million.
