NEPSE Settles Today's Session With Minimal 5 Points Gain; 6 Sector Closed Green Led By Hotels

The NEPSE index closed at 2,042.07 today after gaining 5.00 points from the last trading day's closing. This is a gain of 0.25%. The index gained 16.42 points yesterday.

Today the index opened at 2,040.58 and then made the intraday high at 2,050.03. In contrast, it went as low as 2,017.70 and ultimately closed at 2,042.07.

270 scrips traded hands via 52,814 transactions. A total of 7,896,478 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 3.16 Arba in turnover amount. This is lower than the last trading day's turnover of Rs. 5.01 Arba.

SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) had the highest turnover of Rs. 17.93 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 538.60 per share. The shares of SHL traded the most.

City Hotel Limited (CITY) gained the highest 9.97 and technically hit the positive circuit for today.

Conversely, Bhugol Energy Development Company Limited (BEDC) lost the highest 5.86% today.

Six sector indices closed green, "Hotel and Tourism" gained the highest 4.56% while "Trading" lost the highest 1.74% today.
