NEPSE Settles Today's Session With Double-Digit Loss While Market Cap Declined to Rs. 33.44 Kharba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index saw a loss of 1.03%, or 22.14 points, settling at 2,109.34 points at the close of trading today, following a gain of 15.54 points in the previous session.

Opening at 2135.25 the trading day witnessed fluctuations as the index reached an intraday high of 2,142.58 before dipping to an intraday low of 2,106.36.

With a bustling trading environment, 315 different stocks were exchanged in 70,586 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 11,044,485 with a total turnover of Rs. 4.44 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 33.44 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 11.42 Kharba.

IME Life Insurance Company Limited (ILI) emerged as the highlight of the day with a turnover of Rs. 15.66 Crore, closing at a market price of Rs. 560.00.

Similarly, Kalinchowk Darshan Limited (KDL) hit a positive circuit for today.

Conversely, Infinity Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ILBS) faced a decline, losing 6.36% to close at Rs. 1,385.00.

In terms of sector, Two sector Indices concluded in positive territory, with the "Hotels and Tourism Index" leading with a gain of 3.37%. However, the "Finance Index" witnessed a decline of 2.19%.
