NEPSE Settles Today's Session With Double Digit Gain; Trishuli Jal Vidhyut Hits Positive Circuit on First Trading Day

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index has a gain of 11.73 points, or 0.63%, over the previous day's closing to conclude at 1,852.77 points. The previous trading day saw a gain of 3.33 points for the index.
The trading day started with the index opening at 1840.42, hitting an intraday low of 1,834.64, and reaching an intraday high of 1,861.22.
During today's trading, there were 299 different stocks traded in 53,146 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 9,505,608 with a total turnover of Rs. 2.79 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 28.56 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 9.96 Kharba.
Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited Promoter Share (NRICP) had the highest turnover, reaching Rs. 86.83 crores.
Similarly, Trishuli Jal Vidhyut Company Limited (TVCL) showed the highest gain of 10%, followed by Samaj Laghubittya Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SAMAJ) with a gain of 9.97%.
On the flip side, Global IME Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (GILB) experienced the highest loss of 7.81% today.
In terms of sector indices, except the "Trading Index" all other sector indices closed in the green with the "Non-Life Insurance Index" gaining the highest by 2.11 percent. Meanwhile, the "Trading Index" lost the most with 0.50%.
