NEPSE Settles Today's Session With Double-Digit Gain; 5 Sector Closed Green Led By Trading

In today's trading session, the NEPSE index closed at 2,165.24, marking a double-digit gain of 11.17 points or 0.52% compared to the previous trading day's closing. However yesterday, the index experienced a surge of 9.91 points.

The trading day began with the index opening at 2,154.02. Throughout the day, it reached an intraday low of 2,141.82, demonstrating some downward momentum. However, it also had an intraday high of 2,174.63 before settling at its closing value of 2,165.24.

During the day's trading, a total of 260 scrips were exchanged through 51,445 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 8,674,109, representing a turnover of Rs. 3.34 Arba.

Among the stocks, United Ajod Insurance Limited (UAIL) had the highest turnover, with an amount of Rs. 23.57 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 631. The shares of KBL traded the most.

In terms of individual stock performance, BPW Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (BPW) recorded the highest gain of 10% and hit the positive circuit for the day.

On the other hand, NIBL Samriddhi Fund -2 (NIBSF2) sees the highest decline of 9.64%.

Regarding sector indices, five of them closed in the green. The "Trading" sector had the highest gain, increasing by 4.83%. However, the "Others" sector registered the highest loss, declining by 0.96%.
