NEPSE SETTLES BELOW 800 LEVEL

More correction prevailed in the secondary market of Nepal today. The benchmark index today plunged by 9.15 points to settle below 800 at 796.5 level.
Attributed by the last week downfall in shares price, more booking profit flooded in the market today. The investors’ sentiment to capitalize profit on current in fear of further downfall contributed to bearish transition in market throughout the day.
Most of the profit booking was observed in Insurance and banking scrips today as Insurance dropped by 40.36 points and Banking declined by 11.99 points.
Similarly, Development also witnessed tumble of 3.41 points while Finance surged by 6.89 points. As for remaining sub-indices, Hydro suffered loss of 16.92 points, Others decreased by 4.7 points and Hotels skid by 3.58 points.
Altogether there were trade of 125 scrips, among which 32 scrips gained, 14 scrips remained intact and 79 scrips suffered loss.
The best performer among the traded scrips was Citizen Investment Trust (CIT), closed at Rs 3462, with a gain of Rs 182 or 5.55 percent. Whereas, Swabalamwan Bikash Bank (SWBBL), closed at Rs 942, was the worst performer with loss of Rs 78 or 7.65 percent.
The company with the highest turnover in today’s session was Nepal Bank Limited (NBL), closed at Rs 330, with turnover of Rs 63,102,576, totaling 192,560 units which were traded through 54 transactions.
The Broker with the highest transaction of NBL was Broker No 28 (Shree Krishna Securities Limited) with 76.47 percent standalone dealing, totaling 294,583 units worth Rs 96,512,472 via seven transactions, which include two matching transactions tallying 145466 units worth Rs 47,653,780.
The market turnover today stood at Rs 300,851,640, with total number of shares traded at 732,724 units which were traded through 2,347 transactions. The market capitalization at the end of the day stood at Rs 811,526.79 Millions.
