NEPSE seesaw movement ended in red by 14.99 points to close at 1449.94 levels; total volume stood Rs 1.87 arba

With two consecutive days of instability after the monetary policy was announced, the Nepal Stock Exchange today closed in red with 14.99 points loss in the index from the previous close.

The market today closed at 1,449.94 levels, an overall 1.02% decline.

34.8 points volatility was witnessed in the trading today, wherein the highest level was 1479.30 and the lowest was 1444.50.

A total of 4,976,488 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 1,872,220,447 in the turnover amount. Although this figure is lower than yesterday's, it certainly is a massive amount compared to the usual 1 Arba turnover amount on average. 185 scrips were traded via 26,641 transactions.

Himalayan Distillery Limited (HDL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 14.24 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 1755 per share. It is tailed by NMB Bank Limited in terms of total turnover with a figure of Rs. 13.97 crore. NMB Bank Limited also had the highest number of shares traded for the day among all companies.

Float is down by 1.23 points and is currently at 102.11. On the other hand, the Sensitive Index is currently at 307.05 after losing 2.56 points from the previous close.

NIC Asia Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NICLBSL), Shree Ram Sugar Mills Limited (SRS), and Samriddhi Finance Company Limited (SFCL) hit a positive circuit today closing at Rs. 756, Rs. 303, and Rs. 106 LTP respectively. On the other hand, Himal Dolakha Hydropower Company Limited (HDHPC) lost the most 9.8%, closely followed by Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (GLBSL) that lost 9%.

Only 4 sectors gained today while 8 others ended red. Hotels gained the most 5.83% while Hydropower lost the most 2.14%.
