NEPSE Sees Positive Momentum with 0.71% Gain, Turnover is Just Above 1 Billion

In today's trading session, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index closed at 1,864.62 points, as the index experienced a gain of 13.18 points, or 0.71% compared to the previous day's closing. The index witnessed a loss of 23.16 points on the last trading day.
The trading started with the index opening at 1,851.18 hitting an intraday low of 1,851.03, whereas the intraday high was 1,884.67.
During today's trading, there were 289 different stocks traded in 45,456 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 3,813,233 units with a total turnover of Rs. 1 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 28.61 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.03 Kharba.
Hathway Investment Nepal Limited (HATHY) had the highest turnover, reaching Rs. 4.62 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 284.
Similarly, NIBL Pragati Fund (NIBLPF) showed the highest gain of 7.35%, followed by Swet-Ganga Hydropower & Construction Limited (SGHC) with a gain of 6.91%.
On the flip side, Hathway Investment Nepal Limited (HATHY) showed the highest loss at 8.53%.
In terms of sector indices, three sectors closed red with the "Trading Index" recording the most loss with 1.25% negative change. Meanwhile, the "Finance Index" gained the highest 1.30%.
