NEPSE sees 5th highest turnover in history; Life Insurance index closes over 10,000 for the first time; NEPSE Index up 25.98 points

The NEPSE index closed today at 1,678.79, gaining 25.98 points from yesterday's close. While the lowest point was 1,659.18, the market-close itself is the intraday high.

9,657,677 shares exchanged hands via 38,634 transactions. Trading of 196 scrips brought the total market turnover to Rs. 4.09 Arba. This is the fifth-highest intraday turnover in all of NEPSE's history.
Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) has the highest individual scrip turnover of Rs. 28.53 crores. It closed at Rs. 961 today. Meanwhile, Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank Limited (KSBBL)'s shares traded the most. KSBBL closed at Rs. 233 today.

Salt Trading Corporation Limited (STC), Corporate Development Bank Limited (CORBL), and Sanima General Insurance Limited (SGI) hit a 10% positive circuit today. Impressively, in less than 1.5 years, STC has gained over 1000%.

On the other side of things, Bishal Bazar Company Limited (BBC) lost the most 4.61%.

Hydropower and Mutual Fund lost today, with Mutual Fund losing the most 0.17%. Among other sectors that gained, Trading gained a massive 7.87%.

Also, the Life Insurance index closed above the 10,000 index level for the first time today. With this, the sector has created a new high. The sector gained 4.87% and closed at 10,251.22.
