NEPSE Rises By 18.07 Points Following Government’s Stock Market Reform Plan

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a double-digit gain today, gaining by 18.07 points (0.71%) to close at 2,560.84. This follows a 4.66 -point gain in the previous trading session.

The benchmark index opened at 2,588.37 and fluctuated between an intraday high of 2,566.31 and a low of 2,542.30 before settling at the close. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 3.83 Arba, with 9,298,094 shares traded across 352 companies through 50,844 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 44.04 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 14.85 Kharba.

Reliance Spinning Mills Limited (RSML) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 25.21 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 2,940.00.

Pure Energy Limited (PURE) hit the upper circuit with a 15.00% gain. The stock closed at Rs. 761.30.

Meanwhile, Three Companies recorded the Lowest circuit , falling by 15.00%.

Among sectors, Manufacturing and Processing recorded the highest gain, gaining by 1.24%, while the Finance Index recorded the highest loss, down 0.43%.
