NEPSE Retains Momentum With 0.46% Gain; SWBBL Sees Highest Turnover Among All Scrips

In today's trading session, the NEPSE index closed at 2,154.07, marking a single-digit gain of 9.91 points or 0.46% compared to the previous trading day's closing. However yesterday, the index experienced a surge of 47.07 points.
The trading day began with the index opening at 2,147.69. Throughout the day, it reached an intraday low of 2,146.52, demonstrating some downward momentum. However, it also had an intraday high of 2,171.13 before settling at its closing value of 2,154.07.
During the day's trading, a total of 255 scrips were exchanged through 56,476 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 8,676,438, representing a turnover of Rs. 3.54 Arba.
Among the stocks, Swabalamban Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SWBBL) had the highest turnover, with an amount of Rs. 21.77 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 875. The shares of HLI traded the most.
In terms of individual stock performance, BPW Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (BPW) recorded the highest gain of 10% while United Ajod Insurance Limited (UAIL) rose by 9.99%, reaching the positive circuit for the day.
On the other hand, Sanima Large Cap Fund (SLCF) sees the highest decline of 5.14%.
Regarding sector indices, six of them closed in the red. The "Non-Life Insurance" sector had the highest gain, increasing by 1.55%. However, the "Hotel and Tourism" sector registered the highest loss, declining by 1.45%.
