Nepse resist at 412 level again

Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) after slight incline up to 412 level in the initial hour, continued to fall in the later hours of the session to close at 409.07 level. The benchmark index has been trying to breach the 412 level since Sunday but today also it couldn’t sustain in the upper level as the sub-indices apart from Insurance and Manufacture sector didn’t favor the Nepse bullish mark. In overall, the local bourse came down by 2.75 points compare to yesterday’s level
Among the sub-indices, Others sector declined the most as the fall of NTC’s scrip by Rs 8 push the sector down by 1.18%. Likewise, drop in the price level of all the listed commercial banks apart from Janata, NIB and NSBI drag the Banking sector by 0.86%. Similarly in other Banking and Financial Institutions sub-indices, Development declined by 0.39% whereas Finance sector slump by 0.21%. as there were 12 decliners among the 18 finance sector scrips traded today. In same manner, Hydro decreased by 0.09% as none of the scrips under it gained today likewise Hotels also dropped by 0.04%.Whereas in case of gainers for today, Insurance sector climbed by 0.81% as Sagarmatha and Surya Life Insurance were the only two stocks under it which declined and in Manufacture sector, the incline in the Uniliver Nepal Ltd. by Rs 205 push the sub-index by 1.4%.
In overall 95 scrips traded today, 32 scrips gained whereas 11 scrips remain in tacit and 52 scrips suffered loss. The highest gainer among the stock traded today was Lumbini General Insurance (LGIL), closed at Rs 116 , with Rs 10 or 9.43% gain. Whereas, Hama Merchant and Finance Ltd. (HAMA), closed at Rs 72, was the Top Loser today also with Rs 8 or 10%. With today’s lost the scrip has come down by Rs 160 since 15th July, 2012. In case of scrip trading above par value, Gulmi Bikash Bank Ltd.(GULMI), closed at Rs 160, was the Top Loser with Rs 12 or 6.98%
Among other news, Reliable Finance Ltd BOD’s proposal of 8.86% Cash Dividend and Bonus Share of 8.41% to its Shareholders after approval from NRB and upcoming AGM seems to create less impact as the scrip closed intact at Rs 153. However, the scrip moved between the range of Rs 164 to Rs 150 for the day.
Today the highest transaction was of City Development Bank Ltd.(CDBL),closed at Rs 186 with 150 times and highest share traded was of Janata Bank Nepal Ltd. (JBL),closed at Rs 131, with 21,267 units.
In case of turnover, Chilime Hydro power Co. (CHCL) which bagged Quality Management System (QMS) and Environment Management System (EMS) awards from a UK-based International ISO certification Company, had the highest turnover. In spite of that, the scrip lost Rs 1 to close at Rs 1,096. Overall, 15,002 units worth Rs 16,396,536 via 108 transactions were done of CHCL; in which Broker no 47 (Neev Securities Pvt. Ltd. ) was the most active broker with 40.13% stand alone dealing of CHCL , totaling 6,030 units worth Rs 6,579,860 via 41 transactions.
The total turnover today was 63,049,504 which is comparatively Rs 12,870,138 or 16.95% lower than prior trading session. Overall 202,042 units of shares were traded via 1,784 transactions with the market capitalization of Rs 387,110.74 Millions.
