NEPSE REMAINS UPBEAT WITH LATEST POLITICAL DEVELOPMENT

With the latest political development, the market gained further gain today as it propelled by 10.16 points to close at 787.36 levels.
Following the four point deal between the major parties including UCPN (Maoist) , the hope of smooth transition in the country’s political arena has once again build among the investors. Citing this recent development , the market today observed rush of high demand in the initial period attributing to 15 minutes suspension after witnessing 3 percent incline.
However, in the latter phase, a string of profit booking from the investors limited the market gain down to 1.30 percent only.
Investors today also eyed on banking scrips, as Banking sector gained 14.37 points. Alongside it, Development also advanced by 4.84 points while Finance suffered loss of 0.84 points.
As for remaining sectors, Hydro and Insurance made hefty increment as both inclined by double digit figure of 16.59 and 22.99 points respectively. Meanwhile, Others remained intact at 798.89 and Hotels tumbled y 0.37 points.
Altogether there were trade of 116 scrips, among which 78 scrips gained, 12 scrips remained intact and 26 scrips suffered loss.
The best performer among the traded scrips was Kanchan Development Bank Ltd. (KADBL), closed at Rs 201, with a gain of Rs 18 or 9.84 percent. Whereas, Gaurishankar Development Bank Ltd. (GSDBL) , closed at Rs 132, was the worst performer with loss of Rs 6 or 4.35 percent.
The scrips with the highest turnover in today’s trade was Nepal Bangladesh Bank Ltd. (NBB), closed at Rs 670, with trading of 68,114 units worth Rs 45,787,941 via only 146 transactions.
The Broker with the highest transaction of NBB was Broker no 8 (Ashutosh Brokerage & Securities Pvt. Limited) with 8.63% standalone dealing of the NBB, tallying 11,755 units worth Rs 5,381,979 via 18 transactions.
Alongside the positive transition of the market, the liquidity in the market also continued to remain in a healthy state as the total market turnover today also tallied over Rs 500 million i.e. Rs 525,920,297; totaling 1,102,041 units of share which were traded through 3,723 transactions. The market capitalization at the end of the day stood at Rs 799,783.29 Millions.
