NEPSE RECOVERS YESTERDAY’S DECLINE

The market today overcame the yesterday’s downfall as the benchmark index added 2.41 points to its tally- the local bourse closed at 803.73 level.
After the yesterday’s downfall of near to two points following the cautions approach by the investors, the market today made a bounce back to recover its loss.
The boost in the demand of insurance and hydro sectors’ scrips mainly attributed in today’s growth, despite the downfall in two of the heavy weight sub-indices-Banking and Others.
Insurance sector today rallied by massive 80.24 points and Hydro made a jump of 19.34 points. Similarly, Development and Finance also sustain in green zone today as both added 0.42 and 8.09 points to its tally.
While, Banking suffered a loss of 0.54 points and Others dropped by 2.35 points. As for Hotels, it also suffered a massive blow as it declined by 47.16 points.
Altogether there were trade of 133 scrips, among which 62 scrips gained, 12 scrips remained intact and 59 scrips suffered loss.
The best performers among the traded scrips were Citizen Investment Trust(CIT), closed at Rs 2872, Kalika Microfinance Development Bank Ltd. (KMCDB), closed at Rs 572, Pacific Development Bank Limtied (PADBL), closed at Rs 297, and Siddhartha Development Bank Limited (SDBL), closed at 132, with a gain 10 percent i.e. Rs 261, Rs 52, Rs 27 and Rs 12 respectively. Whereas, Lumbini Finance Ltd. (LFLC), closed at Rs 188, was the worst performer with loss of Rs 13 or 6.47 percent.
The company with the highest turnover in today’s session was Everest Bank Ltd. Promoter (EBLPO), closed at Rs 1045, with turnover of Rs 52,250,000, totaling 50,000 units which were traded through one transaction.
Among the ordinary scrips, Chilime Hydro power Co.(CHCL), closed at Rs 1550, had the highest turnover with Rs 15,457,203, totaling 9,975 units, which were traded through 104 transactions.
The Broker with the highest transaction of CHCL was Broker No 35 (Kohinoor Investment and Securities Pvt.Ltd) with 8.98 percent standalone dealing, totaling 1,789 units worth Rs 2,776,180 via 14 transactions.
The market turnover today stood at Rs 272,936,337, with total number of shares traded at 554,721 units which were traded through 2,183 transactions. The market capitalization at the end of the day stood at Rs 818,597.16 Millions.
