NEPSE Recovers with Triple-Digit Gain After Massive Loss on Last Trading Day; Thirteen Scrips Hits Positive Circuit

NEPSE staged a sharp rebound today, marking a triple-digit gain as investor confidence returned following SEBON’s reversal of the 15-minute average price rule. The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) climbed 111.70 points (4.44%) to settle at 2,623.62, recovering strongly after a steep 160.33-point loss in the previous session. The turnaround reflects renewed optimism among market participants amid regulatory clarity.

The benchmark index opened at 2487.56 touching an intraday high of 2,634.55, while the lowest point was 2,483.15. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 9.17 Arba, with 20,032,224 shares traded across 329 companies through 108,908 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 43.85 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 14.9 Kharba.

 

Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs.83.13 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 1,472.00

 

Thirteen companies led the gainer's list with a 10.00% gain each.

 

Meanwhile, Siddhartha Premier Insurance Limited (SPIL) recorded the steepest drop, falling 7.64%.

 

Among sectors, the Trading Index registered the highest gain, gaining 8.66%, while the Non Life Insurance saw the highest loss at 4.02%.
