NEPSE RECOVERS AFTER INITIAL FALL

Not much change was noticed in NEPSE index, which closed at 904.92 points, compared to yesterday’s 904.67 points as the market index made slight increase of 0.25 points.
Though the local bourse dropped to 899.30 level after starting its journey from 905.15 points, the improvement in banking and others sectors shares particularly lifted the benchmark to green zone in the end.
Among the sub-indices ,Manufacturing, Hydro, Others and Hotels landed on green with gain of 23.05 points, 4.73 points and 1.86 points respectively. Development, Finance and Insurance suffered losses of 0.58 point, 2.46 points and 0.91 point respectively.
As for Banking, despite its latter improvement, the sub-group still suffered loss of 0.54 point.
The market turnover today stood at Rs 225.13 million with share traded figure at 472,171 units and transaction at 2,083 times.
