NEPSE RECOVERS 4.27 POINTS; SIGS declares 4.5 percent cash dividend

Making a bounce back, the NEPSE index today added 4.27 points to its tally. The closing level of stock index at the end of the day was at 761.52 levels.
Given the recent scenario of freefall in stock index, due to the nearing quarter end and IPO of Mithila Laghubitta Bikash Bank and Century Commercial bank Ltd along with other factors, the investors today opted to capitalize on the falling price.
Exploiting this declining scenario, the investors today accumulated banking, hydro, insurance and others sectors’ shares. With the increase in demand, today all these sector landed in green terrain.
Insurance and Hydro sectors today witnessed double digit growth of 25.26 and 10.45 points respectively. Similarly, Banking also incremented by 4.91 points, following it, Development and Others added 3.42 and 3.53 points to its tally.
Meanwhile, Hotels suffered the highest blow as it plunged by 26.46 points. Alongside it, Finance also dropped by 1.83 points today.
Altogether there were trade of 102 scrips, among which 52 scrips gained, 10 scrips remained intact and 40 scrips suffered loss.
The best performer among the traded scrips was Garima Bikas Bank Limited (GBBL), closed at Rs 242, with a gain of Rs 22 or 10 percent. Whereas, Lumbini Finance Ltd. (LFLC), closed at Rs 166, was the worst performer with loss of Rs 9 or 5.14 percent.
The scrips with the highest turnover in today’s trade was Nepal Bangladesh Bank Ltd. (NBB), closed at Rs 636, with trading of 36,473 units worth Rs 22,898,835 via only 74 transactions.
The Broker with the highest transaction of NBB was Broker no 10 (Pragyan Securities Pvt. Limited) with 28.43% standalone dealing of the NBB, tallying 20,990 units worth Rs 13,022,775 via 11 transactions which includes 3 matching transactions totaling 10,250 units share worth Rs 6,356,000.
The total market turnover today tallied at Rs 289,114,328, totaling 744,818 units of share which were traded through 2,542 transactions. The market capitalization at the end of the day stood at Rs 773,570.56 Millions.
Siddhartha Investment Growth Scheme-1 declare 4.5 percent cash dividend
Siddhartha Investment Growth Scheme-1 which is one of the mutual fund of Nepal, today declared 4.5 percent cash dividend to its unit holders.
The decision has passed by the 35th BOD meeting of Siddhartha Capital ltd which is the fund management company of the scheme.
The closing price of SIGS1 was Rs 12.81 while its NAV in 3rd Jan stood at Rs 16.078 as per data published in the website of Siddhartha capital market.
